29.11.17 Dérive 2 @ Sarajevo

In our first program we discovered the ‘psychogeographical contours’ of Sarajevo. In his work ‘Theory of the dérive’, the French thinker Guy Debord refers to Chombart de Lauwe: ‘an urban neighbourhood is determined not only by geographical and economic factors, but also by the image that it’s inhabitants and those of other neighbourhoods have of it.’

What could these images be? And how does your perspective differ from an inhabitant of another neighborhood or city? The workshop consisted of a small presentation on ‘how to dérive’ following the dérive itself. Afterwards we exchanged our experiences, ideas and opinions at Kriterion Sarajevo.
